There is no doubt we were created for relationship with others – the Bible is full of examples of friendship and community. In fact the early church in Acts not only met in the temple, they also did life in groups – Jesus himself had a group of disciples that He met with on a regular basis. He showed us that community happens in homes, around food, in the midst of conversation, over time and during life’s activities.
We also know that “church” is far more than just people meeting together on a Sunday. For us at House of Breakthrough, Church means whanau (family), and that means doing life together. At House of Breakthrough one of the ways we do this is through our church groups that meet midweek.
Lifegroups in particular are groups which help you grow in relationship with God. Lifegroups are where discipleship takes place and are an awesome place to make new friends and give you a place of whanaungatanga (supportive connection) within the wider church.

“Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.
And let us not neglect our meeting together, but encourage one another…”
